ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has announced the extension of the airspace ban on Indian-registered aircraft, saying that the ban will remain in place until the morning of July 24.
According to the PAA, the airspace ban on Indian civil and military aircraft began at 5:50 pm on June 16 and has now been extended to 4:59 am on July 24.
According to the authority, this decision has been taken keeping in mind the current situation and security and administrative factors. No Indian-registered civil or military aircraft will be allowed to use Pakistani airspace during the ban.
According to sources, this move is part of a precautionary policy in the context of Pakistan’s airspace management and the ongoing tense situation in the region.
Aviation officials say that the ban may also affect international flight routes, however, normal flights are being continued through alternative air routes.
