Lahore: In Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, fans got to watch two exciting and thrilling matches on a single day, where Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings won brilliant victories.
In the fifth match, Quetta Gladiators defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen by 40 runs to win their second consecutive victory in the event. In this match played at Gaddafi Stadium, Quetta scored 174 runs while batting first.
Young batsman Shamil Hussain once again showed a brilliant performance and played an innings of 54 runs, which was his second consecutive half-century. Hasan Nawaz scored 53 while Tom Curran scored 31 runs.
In pursuit of the target, the Kingsmen team was limited to 134 runs. Abrar Ahmed played an important role in the team’s victory by taking 3 wickets.
On the other hand, in the sixth match, Karachi Kings defeated Lahore Qalandars by 4 wickets after a thrilling contest.
Lahore Qalandars scored 128 runs while batting first. In reply, Karachi Kings achieved the target in the last over.
The turning point of the match came when the umpire gave a 5-run penalty due to objections to the condition of the ball.
In the last over, Abbas Afridi batted brilliantly and turned the tide of the match in just two balls, hitting a four and a six to give the team victory.
