Shops to close at 10pm in Punjab

Lahore – After the expiry of the special concession given during the holy month of Ramadan, the Punjab government has decided to re-impose the old restriction on business hours across the province. Under this decision, the schedule of closing markets, shopping malls and all small and big shops across Punjab at 10pm will be restored from tomorrow, March 24.

It may be recalled that during Ramadan, on the request of the business community, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had allowed shops to remain open 24 hours and had issued a notification exempting them from the 10pm restriction, so that citizens could easily do their Sehr, Iftar and Eid shopping.

Now, at the end of Ramadan, all commissioners and deputy commissioners have been instructed again to ensure strict implementation of the process of closing shops at 10 pm from tomorrow.
