Today’s Ramadan Timings (Feb 23, 2026)

Regional Highlights

• Lahore: The “City of Gardens” is experiencing a beautiful spring Ramadan. Families are heading to the Walled City for traditional Haleem and Kulcha during Sehri.
• Karachi: Residents by the coast should note that sea-level sunsets can sometimes feel a minute later than in the inner city; always follow the local Masajid sirens.
• Islamabad/Peshawar: The cool breeze from the Margalla and Hindu Kush mountains makes the fasting duration of approximately 12 hours and 40 minutes very pleasant.

Essential Ramadan Duas

Dua for Sehri (Intention):

وَبِصَوْمِ غَدٍ نَّوَيْتُ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ

(I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan.)

Dua for Iftar:

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّی لَکَ صُمْتُ وَبِکَ اٰمَنْتُ وَعَلَيْکَ تَوَکَّلْتُ وَعَلٰی رِزْقِکَ اَفْطَرْتُ

(O Allah! I fasted for You and I believe in You and I put my trust in You and I break my fast with Your sustenance.)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What is the difference between Hanfi and Jafria timings?

Fiqa Hanfi follows the sunset (Maghrib) for Iftar, while Fiqa Jafria typically waits until the redness of the eastern sky disappears (usually 10–15 minutes after sunset). For Sehri, Fiqa Jafria ends slightly earlier as a precaution.

2. Is today 5th or 6th Ramadan in Pakistan?

Depending on the moon sighting in your specific region, today is either the 5th or 6th of Ramadan, 1447 AH.

3. Why do timings change daily?

As we move further into spring, the days are getting longer by approximately 1 minute each day, meaning Sehri ends earlier and Iftar starts later as the month progresses.
