Rawalpindi: Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has made it clear that no individual or political interest can be given priority over Pakistan, and the state is fully determined to win the war against terrorism.
During a media briefing in Rawalpindi, he said that this narrative is ridiculous, that past governments should show themselves powerless, although all governments have been constitutionally empowered. He said that Pakistan has only one national leader, and that is Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
DG ISPR said that the Pakistan Armed Forces have no differences with any political party; all parties and provinces are equal for the state. According to him, like today, the governments of the past were also powerful, and there was complete harmony between the political and military leadership.
He said that the war against terrorism is a war of the entire nation, and it will not be won by force but with national unity and a clear state stance.
