Karachi: The business week ended on a bullish note at the Pakistan Stock Exchange, where the KSE 100 index recorded a total increase of 996 points. On the last day of the week, the index closed at 172,400 points.
According to market data, the index touched a high of 172,583 points during the week, while the low was 170,641 points. During the trading, the index remained in the range of about 2,000 points, which is a reflection of investor activity.
During this period, 2.94 billion shares were traded in the market, with a total value of Rs 126 billion. Market capitalization also increased due to improved trading, increasing by Rs 7 billion to Rs 19,464 billion.
According to experts, this improvement in the market indicates investor confidence and stability in economic indicators, however, global and local factors will determine the direction of the market in the coming days.
