Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif pays tribute to Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed on Martyrdom Day

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, while paying tribute to former Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on her martyrdom day, said that Benazir Bhutto was a symbol of democracy, people’s rights and the stability of the Federation of Pakistan.

In his special message, the Prime Minister said that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto promoted tolerance and understanding in the political process, which was very important for the stability of democratic values. He said that the axis of Benazir Bhutto’s politics was always the betterment of the people and the country.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto kept the flag of democracy high even in difficult circumstances and took the political struggle forward within the constitutional framework. Her leadership proved to be a milestone in empowering women and protecting the rights of minorities.

The Prime Minister said that the services of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto will always be remembered for making Pakistan a peaceful, progressive and democratic state. Her sacrifices are a beacon of light for the nation.

He further said that the government reiterates its resolve to continue the journey of rule of law, tolerance and public welfare.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif prayed that Allah Almighty may grant Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto a high position in the realm of mercy and grant patience to her family, workers and loved ones. Amen.
