Lahore: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is now entering a more exciting and competitive phase as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has increased the number of teams from 6 to 8. According to board sources, this move has been taken to increase the financial value of the franchises and promote cricket in new cities.

The PCB had initially suggested the names of six cities for the new teams, which included Hyderabad, Sialkot, Muzaffarabad, Faisalabad, Gilgit and Rawalpindi. According to the report, the teams from Faisalabad and Gilgit have been declared final, and now these two cities will play as new franchises in the league.
