Punjab’s cultural tourism and e-business initiatives praised by US Consul General

Lahore: During a meeting between Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and US Consul General Stetson Sanders, new opportunities for increasing investment and trade in Punjab were discussed.

Maryam Nawaz said that Pakistan-US relations are moving in a positive direction and recent high-level contacts have further strengthened the trust between the two countries. She said that rapid progress is being made on projects to rehabilitate flood victims and preserve cultural heritage in the province.

She said that the government is taking all possible steps to deal with air pollution so that the effects of cross-border smog can be reduced and a healthy environment can be provided to the citizens.

On this occasion, Stetson Sanders, while describing the pace of the development process underway in Punjab as impressive, said that the e-business project is an important facility for investors, which is yielding positive results.
