Punjab proposes new working hours for winters; weekly holiday maintained

Lahore: The Punjab Education Department has sent a proposal for new working hours for schools in view of the winter season to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for approval. After approval, an official notification in this regard will be issued across the province.

According to sources, under the new hours, the morning assembly will be held at 8:30 am, and classes will start by 8:45 am. The primary section will end at 1:30 pm, while the middle and high schools will end at 2:00 pm. On Fridays, schools will remain open from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
