Karachi: The business week started positively on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, and the index reached a high of 158,850 points. However, this trend could not last long, and the market fell into a bearish zone at the end of trading.

In the closing moments of trading, the 100 index fell by 482 points to close at 157,554 points, after which the 158,000 level could not be maintained once again.

Investment experts say that the uncertain situation in the local economy and instability in global markets have increased the pressure on the stock market. According to them, investors are adopting a cautious attitude until future policies and government measures become clear.

At the end of last week, the 100 index closed at 158,037 points, and it was hoped that the market would go above this level, but the downturn disappointed investors this time.
