Islamabad: According to the latest data from the Global Economic Gallup Survey, Pakistan has shown excellent performance in the economic and peace sectors at the beginning of 2026. The survey was conducted in 60 countries, in which Pakistan achieved better results than both India and the global average.
According to the survey, 51 percent of Pakistanis are optimistic about the new year, while this rate in India was only 39 percent and the global average was 24 percent. In terms of economic prosperity, 53 percent of Pakistanis consider 2026 to be a year of prosperity, a significant increase in expectations compared to previous years.
Pakistan also saw improvement in terms of peace: 52 percent of Pakistanis hope that peace will increase in the world, while this rate was only 26 percent in India.
According to experts, these figures reflect the highest level of economic confidence and collective optimism in Pakistan, which is the highest level of optimism recorded since 1994.
According to economic analysts:
“This survey shows that the Pakistani people are ready for the new year with a positive mindset, which can create opportunities for the country’s economy and social stability.”
