Gujranwala : President Asif Ali Zardari said that repelling the enemy in a few hours is a testimony to the professionalism, national resolve, and people’s solidarity of the armed forces. He expressed these views while interacting with officers and jawans during his visit to Gujranwala Cantonment.
The President said that the sacrifices of the martyrs are a sacred trust and a symbol of national pride. He extended his heartiest congratulations on the successful completion of Operation “Baniyan Mursous” and said that the Armed Forces not only defeated the enemy in the “cause of truth” but also gave a clear message of Pakistan’s strength, unity, and perseverance.
On the occasion, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir welcomed the president and briefed him about the details of the operation. The President appreciated the high morale and sacrifices of the forces.
