Islamabad – Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met with Mohammad Sadiq Khan, who is the special representative for Afghanistan, at the Prime Minister’s House. While they were talking, Mohammad Sadiq Khan told the Prime Minister about his recent trip to Afghanistan and how things are going between the two countries and in the area.
Tariq Fatemi, who is the prime minister’s special assistant on foreign affairs, was also at the meeting.
This conversation comes soon after Afghanistan heard a strong message from Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif at a government meeting on Friday. He said that Pakistan appreciates Afghanistan’s efforts to improve relations, but it can’t stand the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) operating freely in Afghan land.
The meeting is part of ongoing efforts to deal with important security and political issues, with the main goal of making ties between the two nearby countries more safe and helpful.
