Pakistan Recognised Globally for Peace Efforts, Says Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar

LAHORE: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts have strengthened its reputation internationally, describing the country as an emerging advocate for peace and regional stability.

Addressing reporters in Lahore, Dar said that Pakistan has played a constructive role in supporting efforts to reduce tensions and encourage dialogue during recent regional developments.

He credited the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for this success and lauded the services of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, saying that both worked tirelessly for peace and stability.

According to the Foreign Minister, Pakistan’s positive engagements on international affairs have elevated its standing among nations and presented a responsible image of the country globally.

“Pakistan is being recognised for its efforts to promote peace around the world,” Dar said, adding that the country’s diplomatic initiatives have been appreciated by various international stakeholders.

He said that Pakistan’s role in encouraging dialogue and mediation has played a significant role in regional stability and has enhanced the country’s reputation as a responsible member of the international community.

Dar added that Pakistan enjoys a unique position on the global stage and recent developments have earned the country respect and recognition. He said that the nation is grateful for the opportunity to play a positive role in peacekeeping efforts.

The foreign minister also reiterated that Pakistan is a responsible nuclear power committed to maintaining peace, security and stability in the region.

Highlighting the cooperation between civilian and military leadership, Dar said that continuous efforts have been made to support peaceful resolution of conflicts and prevent further escalation of tensions.

His remarks reflect the broader emphasis on diplomacy, engagement and dialogue as key pillars of Islamabad’s foreign policy, with officials continuing to advocate for peaceful resolution of conflicts and enhancing regional cooperation.
