Maryam Nawaz’s announcement: Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) will be celebrated in a grand manner in Punjab

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Prophet (PBUH), the entire province will be illuminated with lamps and decorations, while the flood-affected people will also be included in this joy.

She directed that Milad gatherings be held in all schools and universities, where the life of the Prophet (PBUH) will be narrated and collective prayers will be offered for the stability of the country and the nation.

According to the announcement, sweets will also be distributed among the people of the affected districts and prisoners in jails so that no one is deprived of the joy of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).

The Chief Minister said, “The teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) give us a message of service to humanity and brotherhood, so we have to revive his good example by helping the victims.”

She further said that the routes of processions should be beautified, strict cleanliness arrangements should be made and government buildings should be decorated to make Milad gatherings spiritual.

Earlier, the federal government had also announced that the 1500th birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) would be celebrated with great devotion and respect, and ceremonies would be held nationwide from 1st to 12th Rabi’ul Awwal under the Ashra of Mercy to the Worlds (PBUH).
