Ishaq Dar’s speech, Pakistan’s economy is stable and moving towards political stability

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan’s economy is getting stronger day by day and the country is moving towards political stability.

Addressing the 49th Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of the United Nations Group of 77 in New York, Ishaq Dar said that the economic growth rate is increasing rapidly and Pakistan is committed to adhering to international laws. According to him, the IMF and the World Bank are playing an important role in supporting the economies of developing countries.

He added that the devastating floods of 2022 and the recent floods of 2025 have caused severe damage to Pakistan, especially the agriculture sector has been badly affected, while the challenges of climate change are continuously creating difficulties for Pakistan.

On this occasion, Ishaq Dar also met with Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister Tania Faion, in which bilateral relations were discussed. According to a Foreign Office spokesperson, the two countries have agreed to promote investment, trade, education, and cultural exchanges.
