Islamabad: While expressing his views on the recent incidents in Balochistan in the Senate, Advisor to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah has announced strict action against elements targeting passengers and innocent citizens.
He said that some groups are committing crimes in an organized manner, stopping buses and disembarking passengers and killing people belonging to other provinces in front of their families and escaping, which is open terrorism.
According to Rana Sanaullah, such groups can carry out acts like hostage-taking and attacks even in areas considered safe, so the security agencies are on full alert.
Referring to incidents like the Jafar Express, he said that these acts are not an expression of any protest or resentment but evidence of a criminal mentality. He said that terrorists cannot be given sympathy or political justification in any way.
According to security analysts, attacks on passengers are a serious threat to state security, and strict law enforcement and increased intelligence operations are the need of the hour after such incidents.
