ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gohar has said that Pakistan has proved that there can be no compromise on the country’s defense and sovereignty by giving a timely and befitting reply to the enemy.
In his statement, Barrister Gohar said that India was continuously showing aggression and trying to harm Pakistan, but the nation unitedly responded to the enemy by rising above political and personal interests. He said that India’s pride was buried in the dust and the whole world saw with what courage Pakistan defended itself.
Barrister Gohar welcomed the Pak-India ceasefire and said that steps should be taken so that such incidents do not recur in the future. He said that if a ceasefire is possible with India, then there should be a political ceasefire within the country as well.
He said the PTI founder, who is the leader of the country’s largest party, is currently in jail, and neither the leadership nor the workers are being allowed to meet him. Barrister Gauhar said that national integration requires conviction and strength so that the country can move towards a stable direction.
