Moscow: The situation in the region and global developments were discussed in detail in a telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Peshkeshian.
According to foreign media, President Putin offered Russia’s cooperation and possible mediation to reduce tensions between Iran and the United States.
He said that Russia is keen on establishing peace and peaceful resolution of issues in the Middle East and is ready to play every possible role in this regard.
The Iranian president appreciated Russia’s position and thanked it for the humanitarian aid, while the two leaders expressed their determination to further strengthen bilateral relations.
