Lahore: The prices of petroleum products have been revised in the country, under which petrol has become cheaper by Rs 2.71 per litre while diesel has become more expensive by 31 paise. The new prices have been implemented for October 22.
According to the notification issued, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 379.31 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel has increased to Rs 390.11 per litre.
The reduction in petrol price may provide some relief in the fuel expenses of those using private vehicles and motorcycles. On the other hand, the increase in diesel price is likely to affect the expenses of freight and public transport; however, its impact will depend on the decisions of transporters and business entities.
