Karachi: A horrific accident occurred in a three-storey factory in the industrial area of North Karachi, which shook the local people and rescue teams.
According to sources, after a fire broke out in the factory, fire brigade teams reached the spot and were trying to extinguish the fire, but suddenly the building collapsed with a loud explosion. Eyewitnesses said that after the sound of the explosion, severe fear and chaos spread in the area.
Immediately after the accident, rescue teams and fire brigade personnel were busy in rescue operations to extract the people buried under the rubble. Local citizens also took a full part in the rescue operation and provided all possible help.
So far, no final information has been revealed about the number of people trapped under the rubble and the condition of the injured, however, rescue personnel are continuously making efforts to rescue the victims as soon as possible.
After the accident, an atmosphere of intense tension arose in the area, and the roads around the factory are closed due to the rush of people and rescue activities. Citizens have urgently appealed to authorities to provide more heavy machinery and medical facilities to minimize casualties.
