Lahore:Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DGISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that it is wrong to assume that the people of Balochistan are far from Pakistan. He clarified that the youth and people of Balochistan have a deep attachment to Pakistan and are playing a role in improving the future of the country.
Talking to students at an internship program, DG ISPR said that public participation in the war against terrorism is very important, because military operations are successful when the people themselves identify the terrorists.
He said that the entire region cannot be punished for the terrorism of one individual, however, those citizens who provide shelter or facilities to terrorists will have to face the consequences.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif further said that the youth of Balochistan are now becoming masters of their own destiny, they are reaching high positions after getting education. He said that the Baloch people are wise and far-sighted and are now playing an active role in securing their areas after being defeated by terrorism.
DG ISPR paid tribute to Major Muhammad Anwar Kakar Shaheed and said that he was a great son of this land who destroyed the terrorists in the Gwadar attack.
