The Constitution applies equally to everyone: Talal Chaudhry criticizes the consultation of founder PTI

Islamabad: Federal Minister Talal Chaudhry, while shedding light on legal and constitutional principles during a press conference, said that a person in jail has no authority to participate in government or administrative decisions. He said that the attempt to make cabinet or state decisions in consultation with the founder of PTI is tantamount to challenging the constitution.

Talal Chaudhry explained that according to the Supreme Court, the constitutional status of the decisions of a person in prison is zero; therefore, PTI’s presentation of the orders of its founder as party policy is itself a deviation from its organizational constitution.

He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government should make its decisions within the constitutional framework and the government structure cannot be formed under the pressure of any irrelevant individual.

The federal minister said that there cannot be a separate law and a separate constitutional position for any individual in the country. He said bluntly that the federal government will continue to play its role for institutional stability and constitutional supremacy.
