Faisalabad: Advisor to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah has once again reiterated his position that street movements are not the solution to the country’s problems, and parties that choose this path will ultimately have to come to the negotiating table.
Addressing a public event, Rana Sanaullah said that in the past, false cases were registered against political opponents, which promoted hatred and division in the society. He said that now is the time for such elements to admit their mistakes and show political tolerance.
He said that the government always offered talks, but the opponents preferred confrontation. According to Rana Sanaullah, protest politics can neither solve the problems of the people nor provide political stability to the country.
Commenting on the possible protest movement by the PTI, he said that such efforts have failed in the past and will not succeed in the future either.
According to political analysts, in the current political environment, reconciliation and institutional stability are the only factors that can move the economy and the democratic system forward, while confrontational politics can create further complications.
