Rs 10.2 billion released to WASA for the improvement of Lahore; infrastructure will be upgraded

Lahore: The Punjab government has released Rs 10.2 billion to WASA Lahore for the speedy completion of ongoing development projects in Lahore. These funds will be used for improving infrastructure in different zones of the city.

According to official sources, this amount has been released after the approval of the Finance Department, and Rs 1 billion has been allocated for each zone. The project includes construction of water tanks, upgrading of the sewage system, and purchase of modern sanitation machinery.

The Finance Department has formally issued a letter to the Accountant General’s Office to enable timely transfer of funds. WASA now has full authority to immediately purchase necessary equipment and complete pending development works.

These measures are being taken to make the water and sanitation system in Lahore city more effective and to increase the convenience of citizens.
