Lahore: Taking a big step towards environmental improvement, the Punjab government has achieved the target of planting 10,000 trees on 14 acres of land in Lahore.
This tree plantation campaign is part of the green vision of the Punjab Chief Minister, in which the public, students, women and social organizations participated enthusiastically.
According to the Forest Department, this project is being run as a “Community Forest Block” to promote clean air and a pleasant atmosphere in the urban environment.
Speaking at the ceremony, Kanwal Liaquat said that the partnership of the government and the public is the guarantee of real change.
Social activist Ghulam Rasool donated 10,000 saplings to the campaign, saying, “If every citizen takes a pledge to plant a tree, Punjab can breathe again.”
