Lahore: Ahead of the start of Ramadan 2026, the commercial and entertainment sectors in Pakistan have accelerated the preparation of their Ramadan schedule, which aims to provide more convenience and opportunities to citizens after Iftar.
As per the tradition of previous years, this time too, most shopping centers are likely to remain open throughout the day, however, the real activity will be seen after Iftar, when families will leave their homes for shopping and entertainment.
Restaurants will introduce special Iftar menus, Ramadan deals and discounted offers during Ramadan, while major hotels will offer special Iftar and Sehri buffets for their guests, which will include local and international dishes.
Food courts and cafes will continue to operate on a limited scale during the day so that non-fasting people, senior citizens and children can take advantage of the convenience.
Although the final working hours for Ramadan 2026 have not been announced yet, it is likely that most establishments will base their Ramadan 2025 schedule on it.
Preparations are also being made to introduce special shows and family programs after Iftar in cinemas and entertainment centers.
The administration has advised citizens and tourists to get the latest information from the official websites and social media platforms of the relevant malls, restaurants and cinemas before making any plans.
