PTI’s appeal to the Islamabad High Court

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has appealed to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to hear the cases of PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi on merit. Talking to the media outside the Islamabad High Court, the party’s chairman, Barrister Gohar, said that the PTI lawyers would submit a formal memorandum to the court requesting it to ensure that the cases are heard in accordance with the requirements of justice.

Barrister Gohar further said that the PTI wants to ensure a meeting with Imran Khan so that the obstacles in the way of legal consultation can be removed. He said the meeting was unavoidable. Because every citizen has the right to prepare and defend cases.

Today, PTI parliamentarians also held a symbolic walk from the Parliament House to the Islamabad High Court, with the aim of reminding the judicial system that the cases against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi should be handled impartially and transparently. According to Barrister Gohar, the message of this move is clear: the party will not back down from the principles of justice.
