ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarar has said that overseas Pakistanis are the real capital of Pakistan, and a big convention of overseas Pakistanis is being held in Islamabad to appreciate their services. Talking to the media, Atta Tarar said that development projects like “Udaan Pakistan” are taking the country forward, but there are some elements who are not able to bear this progress.
He said that every time a step is taken towards improvement and development in the country, certain quarters try to mislead the people through baseless propaganda, but the government will not back down from public service and development vision. Atta Tarar clarified on the occasion that overseas Pakistanis are not only presenting the positive face of the country to the world. Rather, they are playing a backbone role in the country’s economy through billions of dollars of remittances annually.
He said that the purpose of this convention is to pay tribute to these great Pakistanis. He highlighted the identity of Pakistan in the world. He said that the government is providing a conducive environment for investment, and more facilities are being created for overseas Pakistanis. So that they feel free to invest in the country.
