The official poultry rate list issued for Lahore on Monday showed a fresh increase in broiler chicken prices across wholesale and retail markets. According to the notified rates, live broiler chicken was fixed at Rs397 per kilogram, while broiler meat was available at Rs595 per kilogram.
Market dealers said consumer demand remained stable, while supply-side transportation and feed costs continued to keep prices elevated. Retail buyers in several city markets reported that chicken meat remains one of the most closely watched daily commodities.
