Islamabad: The Foreign Office spokesperson has announced that significant progress has been made in visa facilitation between Pakistan and Sweden. Political consultations were held between the two countries in Stockholm, in which the Pakistani delegation was led by the Additional Foreign Secretary while the Swedish delegation was led by the Director General of International Affairs.
According to the Foreign Office, in this meeting, detailed discussions were held between the two countries on consular and visa matters, which resulted in the important progress that Pakistani citizens will now be able to apply for a Schengen visa for Sweden from July 7, 2025.
This visa will be for a short stay of three months, which will benefit people traveling to Sweden for tourism, business meetings, and other short-term purposes.
This facility is being described as a positive step towards promoting people-to-people contacts, tourism, education, and business ties between the two countries.
