Lahore – The spontaneous increase in LPG prices across the country, including the federal capital, has broken the backs of citizens, where despite the official price of Rs 310 per kg, gas is being sold at Rs 450 to Rs 500 per kg in various cities.

Gas shortage and rising cylinder prices have severely increased the problems of the common man, taking notice of which the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has decided to take strict action.

OGRA officials have clarified that a regular operation is being launched from today against dealers and shopkeepers selling LPG at prices above the fixed rates to control overselling and provide relief to consumers.

According to the regulatory authority, strict actions such as heavy fines and sealing of shops will be taken against those who violate the law.
