Monsoon rains have intensified in Pakistan, Sindh and Balochistan including Karachi will be affected

Karachi: The Meteorological Department has issued a warning, saying that monsoon rains are affecting different parts of the country and their intensity will increase in the coming days.

According to the department, heavy rains are likely in the upper and central regions from today to August 27, which will affect Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiat, Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan and other places.

Rains are expected in Sindh and Balochistan from August 27 to 29. The Meteorological Department has also warned the citizens of Karachi that there may be light rain in some places and drizzle in others, while the new monsoon system will directly affect the city from August 27.

It was further informed that from this evening or night, Tharparkar, Mithi, Umerkot and Mirpurkhas will experience rain with strong winds and thunderstorms.  Chances of rain have also been announced in some places of Gilgit-Baltistan.
