Karachi: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Ameer Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said in his address that the rulers cannot remain dominant over the nation by stealing the public mandate. According to him, the results of the elections should not come against public opinion and now the nation has become conscious.

Maulana said that we are not willing to go to Islamabad but the current attitude is forcing us. The country is economically weak, unemployment and inflation have made the lives of the people miserable, while the rulers are only repeating the tradition of demanding sacrifice from the people.

While shedding light on the policy of JUI, he said that our party has always propagated peace and love. The peace marches taken out in Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are practical proof of this. He said that the Jamiat is not limited to Pakistan alone but is the collective voice of the Muslim Ummah.

In his speech, he stressed the unity of Islamic countries and said that the unity of Muslim countries in Qatar is a welcome step. According to him, wherever Muslims are oppressed around the world, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan should play a leading role. Maulana also took a clear stand on the issue of Palestine, saying that just as the Palestinians talk about “one Palestine”, we should also adopt the same stance.
