Islamabad: Director General Passports Mustafa Jamal Qazi has announced the establishment of four new passport sub-zones for the province of Punjab.
Under this decision, Punjab has been divided into two major parts, in which Lahore and Gujranwala for Central Punjab, while Multan and Bahawalpur have been declared sub-zones for South Punjab.
DG Passports said that these steps are being taken to provide timely and transparent services to the citizens, so that passport-related applications can be processed at a fast pace.
According to the Passport Department, the establishment of new sub-zones will save time and expenses of the public and passport services will be made more accessible to citizens.
