Islamabad: Attaullah Tarar clarified on behalf of the government that Imran Khan’s sons can come to Pakistan without a visa, as they are Pakistani citizens.
He said that citizens holding NAICOP cards do not require any additional permission or visa to enter the country. After this clarification, the uncertainty in this matter is ending to a large extent.
The federal minister clarified that full compliance with the laws of the country will be necessary during their stay in Pakistan. According to him, ensuring the rule of law is the top priority of the government.
This statement is coming out at a time when Jemima Goldsmith is seeking permission from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for a meeting for her sons.
This matter is gaining importance not only from a political but also from a humanitarian perspective, as it involves the element of a family meeting. However, the government’s stance is showing that all decisions are being taken within the legal framework.
The government’s recent clarification is ensuring that the laws of Pakistan apply equally to every citizen, and legal requirements cannot be ignored under any circumstances.
