Lahore: According to official sources, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) is facing serious processing delays as a large number of domestic consumers are applying for new regasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) connections. The situation has reportedly intensified in major cities where customer applications are piling up daily.
Insiders revealed that regional offices are witnessing long queues of applicants hoping to get new connections. However, due to limited sales staff, the company is unable to process all the applications within the expected time frame.
Many applicants have complained that even after several weeks, their documents have not been verified or forwarded for the next stage of approval. “We submitted all the required documents, but there has been no update for several days,” said an applicant.
SNGPL officials confirmed that the ban on new RLNG connections was recently lifted, and the company has now resumed providing new connections. To clear the backlog, SNGPL has initiated plans to hire additional staff and upgrade its automation system. The management claims that these measures will help speed up the application process and ensure timely service delivery to customers.
