Lahore: Regarding the weather conditions in different parts of the country, the NDMA has warned that heavy fog may affect daily routines during the next few days, especially during the night and morning hours, with visibility expected to be significantly reduced.
According to the NDMA, major cities in central and southern Punjab include Lahore, Multan, Sahiwal, Jhang and Khanewal, where heavy fog is expected. Similarly, areas of Pakpattan, Okara, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Lodhran and Vehari have also been put on alert.
The announcement also said that fog may develop in the vicinity of Sukkur in upper Sindh and in Islamabad during the late night and early morning, which is likely to affect air, land and motorway traffic.
According to meteorologists, cold weather and low wind speed may cause an increase in the intensity of the fog. They say that citizens should be careful, follow traffic advisories and keep getting timely weather updates to avoid any unpleasant situations.
