Lahore: In view of the flood situation in Punjab, the Health Department has issued instructions to initiate immediate relief measures in the affected areas.
According to the Health Department, a “Clinic on Wheels” service will be provided in the flood-affected districts so that the affected people can get immediate medical facilities at their nearest places. In this regard, medical and paramedical staff will be on duty 24 hours a day.
The Punjab Health Department has directed that essential medicines for the treatment of epidemic diseases like diarrhea, cholera and malaria should be made available in the flood-affected areas. Along with this, adequate stock of snake and dog bite vaccines is also being ensured so that any emergency situation can be dealt with.
The Health Department says that relief camps should be established immediately so that the affected people can be provided with basic medical treatment and medical assistance.
