Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman meets British High Commissioner, strongly reacts to India’s water aggression

Islamabad: British High Commissioner Jane Marriott held an important meeting with Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman in the federal capital. Global, regional and national issues were discussed in the meeting.

Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman expressed concern over India’s water aggression on this occasion and said that Pakistan has the full right to defend itself. He said that India’s attitude towards water resources could pose a threat to regional peace.

The Jamaat-e-Islami chief also expressed deep concern over the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian territory of Gaza and demanded an immediate ceasefire and provision of aid from the international community.

The meeting also emphasized the implementation of United Nations resolutions to resolve the Kashmir issue. Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman also apprised the British High Commissioner of Jamaat-e-Islami’s policy on Pak-Afghan relations and Pakistan’s internal political and economic issues.
