FPSC Announces CSS 2026 Schedule; Applications Open Soon

Islamabad: The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has officially released the CSS 2026 examination calendar, marking a new phase in the annual selection process for Pakistan’s elite civil services. According to the advance public notice, the Central Superior Services exam will begin with an MCQ‑based Preliminary Test (MPT), followed by the written examination for qualified candidates.

Key Dates & Phases:

Public notice for CSS 2026 MPT to be issued on 10 August 2025

Online applications accepted from 11–25 August 2025

MPT exam scheduled for 9 November 2025

Written CSS application window: 15–30 December 2025

Written exam begins on 4 February 2026

In a major reform, the National Assembly has approved extending the age limit for CSS hopefuls from 30 to 35 years, effective for the 2026 exam cycle, along with one additional attempt, aimed at increasing fairness and inclusivity for candidates entering the workforce later.

With Pakistan’s civil services renowned for attracting high-quality graduates and young professionals, the FPSC reiterated that 80 examination centres will be available nationwide. Candidates are advised to keep checking the FPSC official portal for updates and to download their admission certificates once issued.
