LAHORE: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has approved four-day public holidays for Eid-ul-Adha 2025. The holidays will continue from June 6 to June 9. This decision will give millions of people the opportunity to celebrate Eid with their families.
The Punjab government has also issued a separate notification setting the same dates, and all government offices will remain closed. These holidays have been given keeping in mind the observance of Sunnah-e-Ibrahimi, sacrifice, and preparations for Eid.
As a result of the Eid holidays, urban activities are expected to increase. An unusual rush of people will be seen, especially at bus stands, railway stations, cattle markets, and markets.
Government institutions have been instructed to immediately ensure cleanliness, traffic plans, disposal of remains of sacrificial animals, and other civic facilities so that the public does not suffer any inconvenience.
