Floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 321 dead — Nawaz Sharif expresses grief

Islamabad: There is an atmosphere of mourning across the country over the widespread destruction caused by rains and floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. PML-N President Nawaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and said that he shares the grief of the affected families in this hour of grief.

Nawaz Sharif said that the loss of precious human lives due to the floods is a tragic tragedy and prayed that Allah Almighty grant the martyrs paradise and the injured health.

According to the NDMA, 321 people have died in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in just 48 hours while many others have been injured. Buner has been the worst affected where 184 people have died and 23 injured, including women and children.

Rescue agencies, district administration and Pakistan Army are actively involved in relief operations and are providing immediate assistance along with shifting the affected people to safe places.
