Lahore: Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations across Pakistan: Large Eid prayer gatherings and special prayers for the country and nation
Islamabad / Lahore / Karachi – Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated across Pakistan today with religious devotion, respect and traditional fervor.
Thousands of small and large Eid prayer gatherings were held in mosques, Eid gahs and open fields, where millions of children of Islam prostrated in the presence of Allah and thanked for the blessings of Ramadan.
Eid Prayer and Message from Scholars
In the Eid gatherings, scholars and preachers highlighted the importance of Eid al-Fitr, the philosophy of fasting and prayer, patience, piety and mutual brotherhood.
The speakers emphasized that Eid is not just a day to celebrate happiness, but it is a day to include the deprived sections of society in our happiness.
At the end of the prayer, heartfelt prayers were offered for the security, economic development and prosperity of the country and nation. On this occasion, special supplications were also made for the unity, stability of the Islamic world and the salvation and peace of the oppressed Muslims of other regions, especially Palestine.
Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and social harmony
Following the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him), the citizens dressed in new and clean clothes, applied perfume and ate sweets and headed to the Eid places. After the prayers, traditional fervor was witnessed where people hugged each other and wished each other on Eid, which made scenes of brotherhood and solidarity prominent everywhere.
A sky of happiness and traditional dishes in homes
Special arrangements have been made in homes on the occasion of Eid. The tables are full of sher khurma, sevyan, kheer and other traditional dishes, while women are busy with hospitality and decorating the houses. The traditional craze of receiving Eid is at its peak among children, who are busy wearing colorful clothes and exchanging Eid gifts with their elders.
An unusual rush of citizens is also being seen in recreational places, parks and markets across the country, where families are enjoying the Eid holidays with their children.
Security arrangements
The government and the administration have made very strict security arrangements on the occasion of Eid. Police and other law enforcement officials are deployed at sensitive locations and Eidgahs so that citizens can celebrate Eid in a peaceful environment without any fear.
