Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has emphasized the role of youth in the development of technology and the digital revolution as key and called for training and improving the skills of youth in this sector. In Islamabad, the prime minister chaired a meeting with a Chinese technology company to discuss a plan to provide ICT training to 300,000 youths. The meeting was also attended by the delegation of the Chinese technology company, and measures to provide world-class IT training to the youth were discussed.
The Prime Minister said that the role of youth in the development of technology and the digital revolution is very important, and the government is providing all possible support to equip the youth with modern skills. He added that this program will not only increase IT exports but will also help the youth in getting employment. The Prime Minister also directed to take the ICT training portal to as many people as possible and ensure speedy implementation of training projects.
On the other hand, the members of the National and Punjab Assemblies held meetings with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, in which they discussed the issues of the respective constituencies and the overall political situation of the country.
The current political situation and public issues were also discussed in these meetings.
These steps of the prime minister show that the government is committed to bringing the youth forward in the field of technology and strengthening the country’s economy. This training program will not only provide better employment opportunities to the youth. It will also help Pakistan gain a leading position in the global IT sector.
