Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has said that the unanimous approval of Pakistan’s resolution in the United Nations Security Council is a great achievement, which is now being presented as a reference at various global forums.

In a press conference, he said that during his visit to the US, in addition to the president and secretary-general of the United Nations, he also met with representatives of Palestine, Kuwait, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, and Thailand.

Ishaq Dar said that important discussions were held regarding bilateral relations and the situation in the Middle East and Iran in the meeting with the US Secretary of State. After the US, he met with a group of experts on the Indus Waters Treaty in the UK. On this occasion, he announced that the ban on direct flights to Pakistan has been lifted, and three flights will be operated from Manchester a week.

He said that the trilateral meeting during the recent visit to Afghanistan was very fruitful, and the implementation of the steps taken during the April visit was appreciated.

Political observers say that these diplomatic steps of Pakistan will not only improve regional relations but also enhance Pakistan’s reputation at the global level.
