Big relief during inflation: Public transport free in Punjab

Lahore: In view of rising inflation, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has introduced a big relief package for the public, under which all government public transport services have been made free across Punjab for one month.

This relief package includes Orange Line Metro Train, Metro Bus, Speedo and Green Bus services. The government says that this decision will directly benefit millions of citizens who travel daily.

A special subsidy has also been announced for farmers, under which a subsidy of Rs 100 will be given on one litre of diesel per acre.

According to officials, the aim of this measure is not only to provide immediate relief to the public but also to reduce traffic and fuel consumption by increasing the use of public transport.
