Amin Lodhi appointed Deputy Governor of State Bank of Pakistan for a period of 5 years

Karachi: In a major financial decision, the federal government has issued a notification appointing Amin Lodhi as the Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) for a period of 5 years.

According to the notification, Amin Lodhi was earlier working as the Executive Director of the Monetary Policy and Research Group and has now been entrusted with the responsibility of the Deputy Governor in this central bank.
According to experts, the appointment is an important step towards creating a greater balance between both monetary policy and research, especially at a time when the country is facing economic pressures, external debt and internal fiscal challenges.
A brief notification issued by the government said that Amin Lodhi will be the Deputy Governor “for 5 years”, which is in line with the general tenure of the post.
