A new series of westerly winds, rain in Lahore and possibility of increasing cold across the country

Lahore: The weather in Pakistan is ready to take a turn once again, where the Meteorological Department has predicted an increase in the intensity of rain and cold in various cities, including Lahore. According to the weather report, an active series of westerly winds is entering the country, which may have a significant impact on the temperature in the coming days.

According to the Meteorological Department, light rain is likely in Lahore on December 21 and 22. After the rain, a new wave of cold may enter the city, resulting in a clear drop in temperature. According to experts, this change will be felt especially during the night and morning hours.

Regarding Karachi, weather officials say that although severe cold has not been predicted immediately, the city’s weather may remain partly to completely cloudy in the coming days. Light drizzle has also been predicted in some areas, which may bring a slight change in the cold and dry weather of Karachi.

After the entry of westerly winds in Balochistan, cold winds are likely to blow in Quetta and other cities. According to the Meteorological Department, these winds may cause the temperature to drop further, while some places may also receive rain. The same system will affect the weather in other parts of the country as it progresses.

According to weather experts, western systems are common in December, but this time their intensity may be slightly higher, due to which an increase in cold is expected. The feeling of cold may increase due to the increase in wind speed in urban areas.

The Meteorological Department has directed the public to take precautions and said that they should avoid unnecessary travel in cold weather, use warm clothes and especially take care of the health of children and the elderly. Sick people have also been advised to take precautionary measures.

According to environmentalists, this series of rains and winds could also be beneficial from an environmental perspective. According to an expert,
“If it rains in Lahore and its surroundings, it is likely to reduce the pollution and smog in the air, which could prove positive for the health of the citizens.”

Experts say that keeping this change in weather in mind, citizens should plan their daily activities carefully.
